Daniel Adams, MA, LCPC

I have a master’s degree in counseling from Northeastern Illinois University, an undergraduate degree in sociology from Northern Illinois University, and have been in full-time practice since 2013, working in community mental health and private practice settings. I consider it a privilege and a gift to work as a therapist, a profession in which I am afforded the opportunity to make a living helping other people and growing as a person and professional spiritually, practically, and intellectually. While I have long had a social and people-focused worldview, and held strong interests in understanding psychology, cultures and human systems, my own path to becoming a therapist was meandering and non-traditional. Prior to working in this capacity and many years-ago, I also held a prior career in property insurance adjusting and served several years in the US Army. In my private life I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, travel and living an active lifestyle.

Peter Sullivan, MSW, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose goal is to create a therapy space that is warm, open, and non-judgmental. I work individually with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, difficult transitions, stress, conflict, and aging. I believe in a person-centered approach and trust each client as the expert in their own lives. I don’t bring my own agenda or goals to our work together, and want clients to feel comfortable working at their own pace. I may incorporate aspects of psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused approaches in our work together.

I have experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatry, inpatient medicine, and mental health crisis response in the community. I am also a military veteran and am familiar with many concerns faced by servicemembers and their families.

I respect the difficulty in deciding to pursue or reconnect with therapy, and encourage you to reach out if you feel we might be able to build a connection!
